It has been more than two weeks and we should no longer keep silent to this heinous crime against innocent girls. Keeping silent would go against the mission of Kechie's Project. We must be courageous enough to speak up against any form of injustice against women and girls.

New York, NY - May 2, 2014 - Kechie's Project announces a rally to condemn the criminal act by Boko Haram against the most vulnerable members of any society "Our Children" This rally is to show support and solidarity for the 234 kidnapped Chibok Girls in Nigeria. ”We Want Our Girls Back” rally will be held on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 12pm to 4pm in front of the Consulate of Nigeria located at 828 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10017.
On April 15, 2014, more than 234 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary Boarding School in Chibok, Borno State Nigeria by militant terrorist organization Boko Haram.
“We Want Our Girls Back” rally is to bring further international attention to the devastating plight of these children. We herby join the voices of civilized society in demanding that the Federal Government of Nigeria use all necessary means to locate the girls and return them safely to their family. More importantly, we ask that the United Nations use its clout and world's influence to demand more accountability from the Nigerian government.
Kechie's Project is calling out to all mothers, fathers, children, churches, mosque, synagogues, community organizations, students, NGO’s, leaders and others to join Kechie's Project in condemning this barbaric and criminal act against humanity.
Kechie’s Project is a New York based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged and under-represented girls in Nigeria to reach beyond their poverty, gender and cultural limitations. We provide educational scholarships in Nigeria, while providing mentorship opportunities to our girls in Harlem, NY. When girls are educated and empowered they become scientist, educators, CEO’s, doctors, lawyers and phenomenal mothers that raise the standards for the next generation of girls in Africa, who positively impact their family, their country and the global community.
